Our Story

A Lakewood institution since 1993

Dick and Nancy Brown opened Glory Days in 1993 — before that, the space was known as the Bavarian Room. Early regulars Art Ballou and Vern Olsen helped shape the standards behind the restaurant's signature hamburgers, still made with Certified Angus Beef today.

The tradition that gives the place its name: customers have brought in photos of their own "glory days" since the early years, and those photos still paper the walls. Owner Dick Brown has called Lakewood "the best city in the U.S.A." and backs it up with regular fundraising for local nonprofits.
